Quant-16.5 is a three-phase regulator with the possibility of single-phase operation and the phase control unit. Quant-16.5 is a three Quant-5.5 single-phase inverter voltage regulators, operating in pair with a phase control unit. The main difference between Quant-21 and a conventional three-phase regulator with a synchronizer is that it does not block the operation of single-phase consumers, even if for some reason there are no two phases.
Quant-16.5 is a voltage regulator with an advanced protection without energy accumulation. The regulator catches all surges and voltage spikes. Everything that happens at the input does not affect the output in any way. The output will always be the nominal voltage value – 220 V or 230 V at the consumer’s choice, because during the process of double conversion all harmful pulses and voltage spikes are eliminated, so the load is under reliable protection of the regulator.
Some types of three-phase loads require that all three phases:
- are active simultaneously (the absence of one of the phases can cause an accident);
- do not have large phase deviations in magnitude (voltage with permissible variation);
- have the correct alternation of phases (when connected, you can always swap two phases so that the alternation is correct and the motors of the equipment rotate in the right direction, but it happens that when repairing equipment after an accident, such as a machine, electricians can swap phases so that the consumer does not aware of it, and this will lead to equipment failure;
- are shifted to the correct angle of 120 ° (the incorrect position may be, for example, if at the input of adjacent phases accidentally connected the same phase).
Our phase control unit is based on a multifunctional device for protection of phase control relays RNPP 311M manufactured by Novatek-Electro and Schneider Electric magnetic starters.
You can buy all the components separately and mount everything yourself in the general electric service panel on the site, or you can buy our ready-made mini-electric cabinet, in which everything is already assembled, and wires for connection to the outputs of the regulators (on their all three zero terminals) are brought out. Also, at the request of the customer and at their personal discretion, it is possible to reduce the cost of the phase control unit approximately to 30%, having replaced Schneider Electric automatic equipment with an E.Next automatic equipment.
When using our phase control unit in a separate casing, you get many advantages over the so-called “three-phase” regulator in one casing with a built-in phase control relay. The reliability of supplying the correct three-phase power to the corresponding three-phase loads is increased. The fact is that the absence or change of phase alternation can be caused by damage (and/or poor repair) to the cable after the regulator. If it was a so-called “three-phase” regulator in one casing, then to increase safety you need to put a phase control relay with a starter right next to the three-phase loads, for additional protection against disappearing (broken cable) or changing the direction of the motor (repaired broken cable and connected in the wrong order). But if you have already placed our unit near the load, then you do not need to do anything for quality work of three-phase loads, they are already protected, and regulators will eliminate phase imbalance voltage, and the location of synchronization, phase control will be optimally safe.
Any logistics (service, installation, delivery) are simplified by the low weight of a single-phase regulator. QUANT places great emphasis on logistical convenience, because a healthy human spine is more important than any technology. While any QUANT product by weight does not exceed 16 kg, including, for example – 3*16 kg when installed in a 3*18 kW three-phase regulator, 16 kg can easily be carried by one person, and 48 kg is a serious load for the spine.
